Job Description:
The General Ledger Accountant will provide general accounting services for World Team.

Qualifications:

The candidate must be a commited believer in Jesus Christ and agree with World Team's statement of faith. The position requires a working knowledge of general ledger accounting. The individual selected for this position will possess strong communication skills, strong organizational skills, experience with Excel and be able to handle multiple priorities. The applicant should have at least the equivalent of an associates degree in accounting or business administration. Two years of experience in a non-profit organization is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:

The accountant will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and will be primarily responsible for the following:

o Maintaining the chart of accounts
o Preparing and posting of journal entries
o Performing monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
o Preparing monthly financial reports
o Assisting with year end audits
o Preparing and distributing monthly project reports
o Preparing and distributing monthly departmental reports
o Communicating and interfacing with both field and departmental personnel regarding finance matters
o Assist in processing payroll
o Perform other duties as required
