Job Description:
The Promotions Assistant will assist the Promotions Director to develop and execute both revenue generating and promotional initiatives that increase the size of the station’s listening audience through, but not limited, to the effective use of print/web ad design, scriptwriting, and event planning.

Job Requirements:

Assist in the daily/weekly contest fulfillment on all six (6) Salem Media of Hawaii stations. Assists and maintains the promotional calendar. Assists with the written debriefs of station events including; promotion title, client, execution dates of promotion and the amount of exposure received. Assist with the maintenance of a complete inventory of prizes in “prize closet” and, station vehicle inventory (booth, banner, bumper stickers, etc.). Ensure that station vehicle is gassed and cleaned before events and fully stocked with marketing/promotional items. Assist with the pre-event and on-site event coordination of live remotes, scheduling on-air talent appearances, concerts and other station events. Assist in the collections of content for bi-weekly email newsletter. Assist with written proposals developed by the Promotions Direct for potential clients.
Recaps the weekly promotions meeting debriefs which help create promotions at fit all six (6) stations and generate revenue. Assist with the collection of data which is used to construct promotional map of listening area identifying hot zips. Research of community events, album releases, guests/artists. Special projects as assigned.
