Job Description:

Hope House located in Marsing Idaho exists to provide a home for children between the ages of six (6) and eighteen (18) (and then those youth who turn eighteen prior to or during their senior year in High School) who are emotionally impaired, developmentally disabled, and/or come from disrupted adoptions or dysfunctional families.

Hope House serves children from all areas of the United States, although the vast majority, come from the western United States. Hope House provides a home for those young people who may have "fallen through the cracks" of other governmental and/or private agencies.

Our mission at Hope House is to provide a home-like, family atmosphere where, through love, structured activities, appropriate discipline, educational and vocational opportunities, and people who will listen, young people can reach their fullest potential.

Our goal is to return young people to their families, where appropriate, and to the world at large, who are able to interact appropriately with their peers and those in authority, provide for their own economic needs, and to be successful in the pursuit of their personal goals and ambitions.

Because the Hope House setting is a dormitory environment (boys and girls separate buildings) and not a two parent traditional family home (we do not use the house parents model).

Hope House is Currently looking to fill a positons for a Couple to work with youth ages 7-21-Must not have any children under 7 in the home.b>

The Couple:

Both parents must be able to work with our children-you will have separate housing on campus

You will assist them with daily chores/hygiene/school work/shopping/some with sports (you do not need to understand sports just cheer them on).

Each staff member must come with one years prior experience minimum working with children (not their own or extended families) this can be in the form of youth work/teacher/missionary with emphasis in children’s work. We are offering interviews now and will pay for transportation for interviews.

All other things apply-insurances/stipend/housing/cell phone and each member receives a stipend, lodging and meals in the dining room (unless you want to cook at home)
