Job Description:
Mission Aviation Fellowship located in Nampa, Idaho is currently looking to fill the position of an Application Developer.

PURPOSE: To implement, modify, maintain, develop and support computer applications and databases for MAF business needs as an essential part of the work of MAF so that the Gospel is proclaimed and God’s Kingdom is extended

• Research, test, develop, modify and implement computer applications
• Evaluates business needs and develops project plans in response to requests from management or internal customers
• Provides support and troubleshooting for MAF business applications
• Provides application training for staff as requested, and maintains application documentation to ensure continuity
• Liaison with outsourced database vendors, and support and training for in-house databases - includes providing necessary tech support and any migration projects
• Backup for infrastructure staff (network, servers and systems)
• Shares in the rotation of ‘on call’ duty

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college or equivalent experience
• 3 years experience with relational databases and related technologies
• 3 years experience in application development and implementation
• Experience with .NET platform, Javascript, HTML, PHP
• Experience with Microsoft Sharepoint
• Experience with SQL Server and MySQL

• Demonstrated expertise in support and development of business applications
• Ability to develop, modify, and maintain applications
• Good people skills both in communicating and interpersonal interactions
• Team-player and can-do attitude
• Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts with a positive attitude and in a manner that enables non-technically trained persons to comprehend and be able to effectively use the information
• Actively commit to IT’s vision and objectives in all tasks

• Active commitment to the mission, values, and doctrinal stance of MAF
• Act in a manner that is Christ-honoring and Christ-like
• Demonstrate a personal Christian faith and witness in all personal interactions
• Office environment requires the use of a telephone, computer, and other office equipment
• Interaction with other people for information and responding to questions
• Mobility to move about and distribute materials, attend and sit in meetings
• Close vision to read and prepare documents and to use a computer for extensive time periods
• Physical dexterity to manipulate computer equipment and peripheral hardware devises
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, and on occasion 50 pounds
