Job Type: Full-Time

Job Description:
Oaks Indian Mission offers a secure and loving Christian home environment to Native American children, providing a sure foundation and the needed skills for a successful life. Oaks Indian Mission was founded by the Moravian Church in 1801 in Spring Place, Georgia to serve the Cherokee people and moved with the Cherokee during the Trail of Tears (mid 1800's) to New Spring Place (Oaks), Oklahoma, and is now affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. Today, the Mission offers basic residential childcare to Native American children of all tribes. The Mission is seeking, service-oriented direct care staff who are capable and committed to providing the quality care and positive role model that our children deserve and are so much in need of.

We currently have a House Parent position available for a girl's cottage having the capacity of 10 girls. A married couple who are able to provide our children with an intact family model is preferred (we would employ the female and the male would be in more of a supportive role and would be free to have full-time employment outside the Mission). The one employee would receive a salary and benefits including vacation, sick leave, holidays, and health insurance (life insurance and other cafeteria plan benefits are also available).
