Abundant Life Church located in Bartlesville, OK is currently looking to fill the position of Worship Arts Pastor. Position Information:At Abundant Life Church we’re all about leading people to Jesus Christ and equipping them to be fully effective followers.
Almost everyone who is part of our church was unchurched before they came. That’s the way we want it. We are looking for someone who’s heart is reaching the community with the Good News. Is that you? We’re a contemporary charismatic church using creative methods to grab people’s minds so the Holy Spirit can grab their hearts.
As we do this, the role of Worship Arts Pastor is absolutely essential. Your primary responsibilities will be leading and training the band, creating video media, supervising audio/visual volunteers, and contributing to our creative team. If you or your spouse have a heart to work with Children or Youth, that’s even better. We’re looking for someone who is sold out to God, committed to ministry, and works well in a team environment. When we say worship arts, we really do mean that we expect more than just leading the band.
We want you to be able to put together the things that are on the screen and on the platform during worship. During “worship time” we’ve done things like had scripture reading live and by video, had people paint pictures, once they even painted on the Worship Arts Pastor! So we are looking for someone with a creative mindset and some technical skills to put their creativity into practice. You’ll need to be a person who has good ideas, and is not afraid to share them. The right person for this will have experience leading praise and worship, and also in helping singers and instrumentalists develop their gifts.
You need to be a coach and pastor to them. We’re also looking for someone who can flow in the Spirit during worship. We believe in Spirit-led planning, and we also want to be open to follow the Spirit’s leading in the moment. We are a staff led church, which means that the people doing the ministry make the decisions.
It’s a high profile position, and you will have a lot of responsibility. You will need to be a person who enjoys hard work, and really wants to help us build the church by winning people to Christ. You will report to the Lead Pastor. You can find out a whole lot more about us by going to our website www.abundantlifechurch.tv.
We want to encourage you to listen to some of our messages and check out our statement of faith before you apply. We believe that God does awesome things through people who may not have exactly the same beliefs that we do, but we want everyone on our leadership team to agree on the basics. This position is a full-time position.
We would consider hiring someone part-time under the right circumstances. Your compensation will be based on your experience and the number of ministry areas that you will be contributing to (e.g., serving in both Worship and Youth). We provide paid vacation, we’ll help with your health insurance cost, and we’ll help with relocation. Our church is in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
It’s a small city with about 40,000 people including the small town of Dewey next door. It’s a family oriented community with some of the best public schools in the state. We also have some excellent Christian schools available if you’re looking for that. Our schools have exceptional fine arts and sports programs, and we have a very active arts program in the community too. With Tulsa just 40 miles away, you can find just about anything you might want in terms of arts, entertainment, and food just a short drive away.
