Job Description:
NATURE OF THE WORK
The Development Associate will be responsible for the field management of development activity for the C.S. Lewis Foundation under the direction of our development consulting firm. This person should be able to appropriately execute the tasks necessary for successful development activity listed below.

This person may not have specific knowledge related to all of the areas mentioned, but would have the ability and desire to learn and then successfully accomplish these tasks. These tasks could be accomplished directly by the Development Associate or delegated and managed by the Associate.

The Development Associate would assume the ultimate responsibility for the completion of all tasks requested. This person would need to have the authority to make necessary decisions and to leverage with other individuals in the organizations when necessary.

PRIMARY DUTIES
•Access data related to donor records.

•Oversee the management of development data

•Oversee “Moves Management”

•Gather and maintain information related to the Foundation including, history, work, personnel, past promotion and marketing, success stories.

•Participate with our development consulting firm in the creation and implementation of a strategic development plan

•Assemble and manage data regarding background and current information related to Foundation donors and potential donors

•Arrange meetings and manage attendance as needed.

•Help to identify potential regional development volunteers

•Help to enlist and manage the activity of regional development volunteers

•Arrange appointments with the President for the purpose of donor cultivation and solicitation

•Manage the work of the administrative assistant related to all development activity.

•Oversee timely donor recognition and response

•Provide oversight of development activity related to Foundation polity, policies, and procedures.

•Manage development expenditures.

•Arrange meetings for groups in various regions.

•Help arrange and manage appointments with potential donors by volunteers/staff
