Job Description:
Qualifications: MSW preferred, BA/BS in Social Services or related field required with a minimum of three years experience in behavioral health and dependency dynamics. State license in behavioral applications (LSW, LCSW) helpful. Expertise in counseling techniques for individuals, couples, families, and groups. Knowledge of Salvation Army policies desired. Clinical expertise in crisis intervention and skill in working with the homeless population. Proven ability to supervise and evaluate professional staff. Flexibility in days and hours for scheduled work, including weekends. Knowledge and ability to adhere to professional code of ethics. Valid Colorado Drivers License and ability to successfully pass criminal background check.

Duties: Administer the day-to-day program activities and services at the Lambuth Family Shelter. Provide leadership for the assessment of program needs and establish directional goals for staff that are compatible with program objectives. Provide financial, technical and planning leadership. Exercise initiative and judgment in approaching problems and creating realistic solutions. Interface with other service organizations to improve coordinated care and services for the homeless population.
