Job Description:
The Web Project Manager will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of projects to maintain the functionality of our existing USA website and develop and maintain new enhancements and features by mobilizing volunteers, freelancers, and consultants.

Job responsiblities include:

Overseeing and managing all web projects.
Making recommendations for web development.
Preparing proposals/project estimates.
Mobilizing and assigning work to volunteer/freelance programmers, web designers, etc.
Monitoring and maintaining web server, troubleshooting, fixing bugs and issues as needed.
Making minor programming/design updates and urgent fixes to existing website.

Technical requirements:

Intermediate knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Experience with Linux command-line and server administration
1-2 years of web programming experience
Ruby on Rails experience greatly preferred

Additional job details:

This position is a full-time, on-site position located in Silverdale, Washington.
It is more heavily weighted toward web project management than web programming.
It requires someone who is good at mobilizing others (volunteers and/or freelancers/contractors) and outsourcing projects.
Children of the Nations is a non-profit Christian organization; all staff is required to sign our Statement of Faith.
We are a missionary organization that tries to allocate as much funding as possible directly toward our children overseas; therefore all staff are required to raise funding to support their position.
This position comes with a base salary of $35,000.* Salary requirements above and beyond that must be raised through personal support. (* We realize this is not a competitive market salary, but being a Christian nonprofit whose philosophy is to mobiize individuals willing to use their resources and talents to serve orphaned and destitiute children, we hope to partner with like-minded individuals wishing to serve in this capacity.)
