TechMission, Inc. is a Christian non-profit organization that seeks to equip urban ministries to transform vulnerable communities. TechMission Corps (TMC) is a national AmeriCorps program that places 60 full-time urban ministry interns in Massachusetts, Chicago, Los Angeles and Denver. TMC AmeriCorps Members focus on providing after-school academic enrichment and college prep services to at-risk urban youth as well as mobilizing volunteers to serve under-resourced communities nationwide. Job Description
The TechMission Corps Program Director will work with other TechMission staff to implement and support the TMC AmeriCorps program. This is a full-time position based in Boston with the following responsibilities:

• Program Management
o Assist Executive Director in developing plans to improve and expand the program
o Develop/improve tools and procedures to effectively implement the program
o Maintain program manuals and handbooks, as appropriate
o Oversee maintenance of official program records
o Assist in the selection of any new TMC staff
o Attend AmeriCorps and other conferences, as appropriate

• Grant Management
o Draft, review, & submit AmeriCorps National applications
o Work with Executive Director to create new AmeriCorps grants, as appropriate
o Assist in setting Performance Measurement goals
o Oversee the collection and compilation of all Performance Measurement outcomes
o Create and submit Grantee Progress Reports
o Assist with other TMC-related grant reporting
o Understand and ensure that all AmeriCorps policies and requirements are followed
o Communicate with CNCS Program and Grant staff and respond to requests for information

• Fiscal Management
o Develop the TMC AmeriCorps Budget
o Assist the Executive Director with developing the TMC program & city budgets (and other budgets, as needed, for grant
o Monitor TMC and AmeriCorps expenses and work with Finance to address any issues and prepare AmeriCorps Financial
o Track/calculate AmeriCorps program match
o Monitor AmeriCorps finances and match spending and compare to budgets
o Submit AmeriCorps Financial Reports
o Assist with other financial reports, as needed
o Ensure that TMC Sites are invoiced appropriately
o Set up payment plans for Sites, as appropriate
o Assist with tracking payment of Site fees and following up with Sites regarding payment
o Review and track Site reimbursements, as applicable (e.g. any subgrants)
o Review, track, and approve health insurance bills and communicate with ASRM regarding any issues with the bills
o Oversee purchase of TMC supplies & Member gear (t-shirts/sweatshirts)
o Approve all AmeriCorps spending

• Member Management
o Oversee Member recruitment, selection, and placement
o Ensure that all required Member paperwork is collected and complete
o Oversee Member enrollment and termination
o Oversee maintenance of Member files
o Oversee Member timesheet monitoring
o Re-enroll TMC with health insurance each fall
o Oversee Member enrollment in & unenrollment from health insurance and track enrollment for billing
o Oversee enrollment of Member childcare coverage

• Site Management
o Create and collect Site Agreements
o Maintain communication with current Sites
o Assist Executive Director in contacting potential new Sites and developing new partnerships
o Ensure that all required Site paperwork is collected
o Conduct annual Site monitoring visits/calls
o Ensures that all Sites understand TechMission Membership benefits

• Training
o Develop trainings and oversee the implementation of all details for Member Pre-Service Orientations (PSOs)
o Oversee the development and implementation of all monthly Member trainings
o Develop and conduct Site Director Orientations

The two primary qualifications for this position include the following (please do not apply unless you meet these requirements):
1. Applicants must have very strong organizational skills and be very detail oriented.
2. Applicants must have extensive cultural experience demonstrating competency needed to lead a diverse group of interns (about two-thirds of our interns are people of color and 50% from low-income backgrounds) and support a program serving at-risk youth (90% are Black or Latino and low-income).

Additional qualifications include: Background and experience working in nonprofits, churches, Christian communities and/or in urban ministry. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, the Internet and strong typing skills are required. Proficiency with Microsoft Access and PowerPoint is desired. Previous management, project management or administrative experience is desired. Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national or lawful permanent resident alien of the United States.

This is a salaried position paying at least $30k, plus benefits, based on experience and qualifications.
