Job Description:
CURE International, a faith-based, international non-profit organization based in Lemoyne, seeks to fill the position of Web and Graphic Designer. CURE is focused on building and operating specialty surgical teaching hospitals for disabled children in the developing world.

The Web and Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating compelling visual design for print publications and CURE International's websites, e-mail marketing campaigns and social media sites. This position will require coordination with other members of the Communications Department to ensure that all visual designs communicate desired messages and function successfully for a variety of audiences in order to support the goals of the organization.

Qualified candidates will possess a B.A. or B.S. degree in graphic design, art or related field, or equivalent work experience. A minimum of 1-2 years experience as a web and/or graphic designer required. Fluency in graphic design software including InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator. Fluency in Microsoft Powerpoint. Comprehensive knowledge of design principles, practices and production processes as well as digital file formats (tif, gif, eps, pdf, jpg). Proven design style and conceptual skills; ability to provide superior design solutions that translate the organization's mission into engaging visual messages for print and web. Understanding of identity/branding, layout, color theory and typography in both print and digital media.

Additional qualifications include a basic knowledge of HTML and a working knowledge of content management software. Knowledge of DreamWeaver, Flash and CSS preferred, but not required. Knowledge of website structure and functionality; knowledge of how web-based technologies apply to web design. Experience in web development.
