Job Type: Full-Time
We have a combination English language institute, small international school, and Korean kindergarten. Teachers work in the language institute in the afternoon and may work in either the kindergarten or international school or both. The day starts at 8:35 with staff devotions. Classes begin at 9:00 and end at 5:30. Teachers have off 45 minutes for lunch, about 20 minutes around 2:00 and one class period for personal time. An accredited degree is required, but no specific degree is needed. Teachers teach in the international school based on ability to teach any particular subject or grade. The school operates year round with a break at Christmas that varies by the length of your tenure.
The institute has three periods per session (2:10-4:00 & 4:00-5:30). They include phonics using our own material which is similar to A Beka Book but designed for non-English speakers, ESL class using Oxford University Press material, and listening which is Bible oriented and taught with a Korean translator. Most teachers specialize in one of the three areas.
Pay is near the industry standard, and benefits include airfare to Korea and an annual trip home with stipend given to cover usual expenses. Most questions can be answered by visiting our website: www.kcis.info.
