OCM Administrative Office—Wheaton, IL

The Administrative Office houses the Finance, Resource Development, Human Resource, Volunteer Services, Grant Management and Executive offices for Outreach Community Ministries and its divisions: The Outreach Community Center, Wheaton Youth Outreach, Warrenville Youth and Family Services, York Community Resource Center and the Outreach Community Counseling Centers.

 

Job Responsibilities:

The Accountant will participate as a member of a four-person Business Office team and report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

 

The Accountant will perform a variety of accounting, finance and business office functions including assistance with internal financial reporting, financial analysis, budget development, tracking of vendor contracts and lease agreements, month-end closing procedures, and a variety of special projects.

 

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business. At least 1-2 years of directly related experience (may include internship experience). Advanced skill in Microsoft Excel and database management; strong written & verbal communication skills; keen analytic skills, effective project management ability, ability to multi-task and maintain a high-level attention to detail; ability to effectively work with a team. Previous information technology experience a plus. A passion for and commitment to Outreach Community Ministries’ Statement of Mission and Faith required.

Status:

Full-time at 40-45 hours/week. Monday-Friday, 8:30am to 5pm. Occasional evening and weekend work for meetings and special events.

 

Compensation:

Salary for this position falls between $43,000-$48,000 annually based on education, skills and experience.
