Salem Media Representatives (SMR) is seeking an experienced Sales Coordinator to handle a wide array of duties to support our national account executives in their sales efforts. Sales Coordinators act as a liaison between our account executives, our advertising clients and agencies, and our owned & operated and partner radio stations.  Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Broadcast order entry (via internal Counterpoint Traffic system)
  • Gathering/coordination of rates, pre/post-logs, scripts, spot transcriptions, air checks, affidavits, invoices, etc. and other various client requests
  • Assist with the creation, proofing and assembly of  sales pieces, sales proposals, PowerPoint presentations, spreadsheets, and other correspondence
  • Daily use of Salesforce contact management website for documentation and email blasts
  • Various research projects

SMR’s national account executives are among the best in our industry. As a result, the SMR selling environment is extremely fast-paced and competitive. Sales Coordinators must be able to quickly understand and anticipate the needs of the account executives and provide the appropriate administrative and clerical support accurately and in a timely manner so the account executives can devote the majority of their time in front of clients maximizing revenue opportunities.

SMR Sales Coordinators must possess the follow qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, focuses on urgent and important tasks, avoids procrastination, follows through, shows attention to detail and meets deadlines
  • Adapts to shifts in priorities and urgencies; ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint and has the ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Assumes responsibility, accountability and ownership of assignments and tasks; has aptitude in problem-solving
  • Professional verbal and effective written communications skills
  • Has positive attitude and is a team player
