ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: Responsibilities, Accountabilities, and Competencies; May not include all duties

  • Marketing
  •  Meet and exceed occupancy goals by developing new clients directed by the VP of Camps.
  •  Creatively strategize client’s camping goals and opportunities and provide effective solutions to grow their camping opportunities.
  •  Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of clients’ needs and goals, and service clients’ needs while balancing the camps objectives.
  •  Create contract with client and ensure it is signed in the appropriate time frame and follow up with any contract addendums.
  •  Attend and check in with the youth leader while at the camp and follow up each camp experience with a survey and personal meeting.
  •  Ensure specific needs of the group(s) are met by working in conjunction with the Camp and Program Directors.
  • Sales
  •  Accurately follow through on all bookings including: input and follow through with the perspective camp property, meet standards for number of active accounts and percentage of new business each year.
  •  Effectively communicate with the guest group coordinator of each camp to ensure smooth transition and follow through.
  •  Develop and write customized sales presentations for potential customers.
  •  Work with the Major Gift Officer to integrate sales and Donor Relations messaging.
  •  Submit activity reports, pending reports, special requests and camp hold orders in a timely manner.
  • Social Media Management
  • Implement the social media strategy, coordinating with CRISTA stakeholders to ensure its effectiveness and encourage adoption of relevant social media techniques into the camps culture. Ensure all social media tools are kept up to date. Manage the day-to-day activities and social media campaigns. Post on relevant blogs, Facebook, twitter, and any other similar community sites.
  • Engage in dialogue in social media spaces to create excitement about CRISTA Camps. Monitor trends in social media tools, trends and applications with the intent of moving CRISTA Camps to the exploratory forefront of social media experiences.
  • Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media programs, and analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results. Regularly provide this feedback to camps leadership in order to evolve strategies.
  • Participate in all required meetings at the camps.
  • Work collaboratively with supervisor, coworkers and customers.

Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None, the use of director in the working title is allowed for external positioning only.

 

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education and Experience

  • Christian Commitment: A deep and abiding faith that is fully surrendered to the will of Jesus Christ, evidenced by a lifestyle that is consistent with biblical principles in word and deed. Commitment to spiritual growth and development. Demonstrates the values of a CRISTA leader.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education or equivalent. Relevant work experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
  • Experience:
  •  One year event planning.
  •  Two years marketing and sales with documented record of success.
  • Licensure/Certification: WA State Driver’s License.
  • Other Considerations:
  •  This is a base plus bonus position based on meeting goals set forth by the VP of camps annually.
  •  May occasionally be required to work on weekends and off-hours.
  •  Ability to work collaboratively with supervisor, coworkers and customers.
  • Software and Equipment Used: Microsoft Windows and Office software. Social media tools; Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or related field from an accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education or equivalent.
  • Experience:
  • Two years camps and/or conference sales and marketing experience in a fast-paced, highly competitive environment with proven track record of consistently exceeding sales goals.
  • Two years camps and/or conference event planning.
