AFTERDARK Event Promoter

Job Description:


  • A leader – the Event Promoter must take a leadership position on the campus they are assigned to. 
  • Organized – for each event assigned the Event Promoter will organize committees, schedule meetings, and oversee the on-campus marketing.
  • Effective communicator – the Event Promoter casts the vision of AFTERDARK to college campuses across the country. This includes sharing with students, ministry leaders, coaches, church leaders, and school administrators.
  • Self Starter – This position operates in a lot of freedom. Therefore, it requires a lot of initiative to network and be thinking “what else” can be done.  


  • Ministry—on every campus you have the opportunity to develop and encourage college students and ministry directors in the process of conducting an evangelistic outreach.
  • Travel – the Event Director will travel to each assigned campus three times prior to an event, each trip is four to five days time.  (Two months out, one month out, and the week prior to the event)
  • Learn the unique personality and characteristics of each campus, i.e. venues, student center, rec center.
  • Organize and empower a team of students/individuals on campus to execute the marketing plan of each event.
  • Get involved on the campus – get to know students, campus ministries, campus leaders and the physical campus.
  • Dream and create new marketing ideas to increase attendance at AFTERDARK.
  • Provide creative input into the improvement of the AFTERDARK events.  We have a huge heart to always be improving and pursuing excellence in what we do.
