Job Description:

Group Publishing is searching for a Director of eCommerce and Marketing Technology. This individual will have a strong background in all aspects of leading an eCommerce business. This includes driving the development and execution of website feature roadmaps for a B2B and B2C eCommerce business, a hands on understanding of User Experience principles and best practices, and proven success in creating and leading a corporate Digital Marketing Strategy focused around eCommerce revenue growth. The ideal candidate will have previous experience being held accountable for revenue goals and core eCommerce metrics, along with a demonstrable and documented track record of success. Must be able to articulate with detail how to increase engagement through improved user experience design, website optimization across all devices and thru digital marketing execution, plus possess a good balance between SME and voracious learner.

 

Responsibilities:

• Drive the Digital Marketing and eCommerce strategies and planning for Group.com and other core Group Publishing web properties

• Directly oversee and architect the technology planning and roadmap development for Group.com and other core Group Publishing web properties including micro-websites and content marketing websites

• Work in partnership with the business unit marketing teams to establish digital marketing strategies and budgets, including SEM, Remarketing and Affiliate Marketing all designed to accomplish defined online revenue goals

• Spearhead Group Publishing mobile commerce initiatives

• Drive eCommerce projects through their entire project lifecycle, including requirements, design, development, and launch with a keen focus on quality, budget and timeline

• Partner closely with cross-functional business unit teams to define and deliver innovative, easy-to-use, engaging shopping experiences, which increase user engagement, conversion and AOV

• Synthesize data from multiple sources, including industry trends, competitive analyses, personas, usability studies, website analytics, customer care, and eCommerce best practices to inform future website, strategy and user experience decisions

• Leverage A/B and multivariate testing to optimize website sales

• Closely track and report company site and micro-site performance to key department stakeholders and executives

• Long term oversight of Group’s corporate email marketing strategy

 

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing/equivalent experience is required; MBA a plus

• 5+ years optimizing B2B or B2C eCommerce websites in an eCommerce manager role

• Proven track record developing and implementing feature roadmaps that significantly increased engagement, conversion and AOV

• 3+ years leading and supervising

• Experience with landing page and shopping cart optimization

• Strong point of view on how to increase online revenue and lead generation thru mobile and tablet experiences

• Strong analytical business understanding of Search Engine Management, Remarketing, and Social Media

• Exceptional business case analysis, project planning/management, and presentation skills

• Strategic, detail-oriented, results-driven, balanced analytical and creative thinker, flexible and adaptable to change, entrepreneurial, and highly collaborative

•  Subject matter expert in eCommerce best practices, User Experience and/or information architecture, internet technologies and trends

• Strong background in Digital Marketing and Audience Development

• Highly-motivated, self-starter with a passion for high-quality work and delivering results

• Must thrive in a fast-paced, timeline-driven environment

• Experience with analytics and testing tools, including Google Analytics

• Superior communication, interpersonal and organizational skills

• Experience managing multiple vendors, 3rd party systems, processes and projects is required
