SALEM LA is comprised of four radio stations – KKLA-FM (Inspirational Talk), KFSH-FM, (Contemporary Christian Music) KRLA-AM, (Conservative Talk) and KTIE-AM (Conservative Talk).  SALEM LA is a member of Salem Media Group, the nation’s largest operator of Conservative Talk, Christian and Inspirational radio stations, radio networks, Christian media and entertainment, Internet aggregators, e-commerce, new media and streaming. 

 

Job Title: Programming Assistant Coordinator/Board-op

 

Shift/Hours/Status: Monday - Friday 10a - 7p

 

Compensation: Commensurate with experience.

 

Reports to: Assistant Program Director

 

Job Responsibilities and Pre-Requisites:

SALEM LA has an immediate full-time Programming Assistant Coordinator/Board-op position opening. Duties include overseeing the production and proper execution of all paid programming and other programs as needed. Creates and oversees the program sheet provided to on-air talent. Checks it after completed. Insures that programs air in a timely and correct manner. Edits programs and other materials. Gathers promo and imaging pieces and places into schedule. Creates on-air NexGen logs and sequence for proper playback. Works with clients to record programs and insure they are ready for air. Trains co-workers and new hires. Detailed oriented, prompt and dependability required. Completes other tasks as assigned by Sales Manager. This position also requires a 3 hour daily board-op shift on any one of our 4 Salem LA stations. Execute format as designed by the Program Director, maintain commercial and transmitter logs, edit live spots, various production duties, and commercial audio production. Minimum 6 months radio broadcast experience required, Prophet/NexGen (or similar) system experience preferred. College preferred but not required. Flexibility is a must! Board-op shifts could include evenings, overnights or weekends. Strong track record.
