Job Description:


Monitor the financial activities of the Back to the Bible Foundation by maintaining necessary records and accounts.  Provide the necessary expertise to maintain accurate records of all financial activities of Back to the Bible by also assisting in the area of the General Ledger for non-Foundation accounts.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Make contacts as needed with outside auditors, banks and brokers for necessary financial information.  Maintain and oversee posting of Foundation records, keep records for tax purposes, maintain various Foundation investment accounts, serve on the Investment Committee and execute investment transactions.  Prepare needed journal vouchers, maintain annuity records, prepare audit work papers, reconcile various bank statements, and monitor cash flow of Foundation accounts.


Maintain records of Back to the Bible's general investments and execute investment transactions.  Maintain Equipment Revolving Account, Radio Revolving Account and Literature Revolving Account records, preparing and monitoring loan agreements.  Prepare journal vouchers and maintain additional records as required.  Prepare and present daily cash reports to the Leadership Team, the Accounting Manager, and the accounts payable clerk.


Review and/or prepare all monthly journal vouchers for completeness, accuracy and adherence to accounting principles.  Make sure that Back to the Bible Foundation general ledger is closed, reports run and distributed within the present time frames.  Ensure that the Employee Loan Fund Account is reconciled on a regular basis after monthly closing.


Serve on the Employee Retirement Funds Committee, as well as the Investment Committee and report to the Finance and Audit Committee.


Education and/or Experience                                                      

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
