Job Description:

Primary Objectives of the Role:

  • Actively support and assist the National Director ACC in ministry operations and strategy implementation
  • Work diligently to grow the awareness and acceptance of Alpha in the Catholic church across the greater Phoenix area
  • Increase the number of parishes, schools, and organizations that run Alpha 

Essential Responsibilities and Functions:

  • Assist National Director in the Catholic Context and National Three Cities Coordinator as directed
  • Focused development of more and better Alpha in the Catholic Context in Phoenix (in both English and Spanish) and as related to a special initiative
  • Develop more and better Alpha for Spanish speaker courses in Catholic parishes, schools and organizations throughout the US
  • Develop more and better Marriage & Marriage Preparation courses across the US
  • Focus on Alpha’s outreach and promote Alpha for Spanish speakers in US

Offer informational events and training as required

Respond to inquiries from Catholic leaders from the greater Phoenix area

Update web site, Database, Facebook and Twitter, keeping all media and marketing materiel up-dated and relevant

Assist with the annual development and strategic plans

Assist with development and fund raising to support the ministry

Assist with recruitment and development of volunteers

Work with Regional Directors to ensure local Catholic parishes and organizations are being supported

Establish and maintain strong relationship with other Catholic organizations and ministries that complement and promote Alpha as a tool for the new evangelization


Commitment to the New Evangelization and Alpha as a primary tool of the NE

Passionate about unity and willing to work with all Christian denominations

Culturally adaptable


Desired Qualifications and Skills:

Committed and practicing Catholic

College degree with a major in theology or associated field

Hispanic ministry experience

Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish

Management of key relationships

Project management skills

Strong organizational skills

Attention to detail

Strong PC and Internet skills

Experience utilizing social media 

Leadership potential
