JOB SUMMARY

 

This Rescue & Recovery Program Manager assumes responsibility for the programming and treatment structures, along with the operations and security procedures of the Men’s Recovery, Second Chance, and Emergency Shelter programs. This includes the following areas: coordinating intake & assessment of clients, case management services, discipleship, psychosocial rehabilitation and recovery programming, providing referrals to other agencies, dorm supervision, and coaching and mentoring of volunteer and intern staff, and goal setting. The Rescue & Recovery Program Manager, with the Shelter and Dorm Coordinator and Mission Operations Coordinator, shall be concerned for the spiritual, emotional and physical welfare of all department clients and volunteers. This is a full time exempt position.

 

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES

 

Ministry

  1. Develop and supervise programming elements of Men's Recovery and Second Chance programs.
  2. Develop, implement, and maintain program policies and procedures for care treatment and services; develop appropriate integrative protocols, quality metrics, tracking, and auditing tools.
  3. Responsible for the management of department personnel including selection, program orientation, training, mentoring, timely evaluations, and discipline; reviews schedules for effective clinical coordination; assigns and provides guidance for all case managers and volunteers; oversees scheduling for residents and community interventions; and ensures accuracy of resident coordination.
  4. Oversee team of case managers and volunteers to assist in developing action plans and case management strategies for Men's Recovery and Second Chance programs, with assistance from the Mission Operations Coordinator and Shelter Dorm Coordinator.
  5. Develop and supervise program and treatment structures for Men's Recovery and Second Chance programs.
  6. Develop and supervise discipleship processes of Men's Recovery, Second Chance, and Emergency Shelter programs utilizing Disciple Making Movement (DMM) principles.
  7. Collaborate with and supervise Mission Operations Coordinator and Dorm Shelter Coordinator to develop best practices for all residential clients, and manage intake processes and transfer flow for each program.
  8. Create and maintain a continually high level of integrity, camaraderie, and professional competency within the department.
  9. Provide necessary training, personally or through others, for volunteers, paid staff, interns and clients.
  10. Maintain an environment that is conducive to building trust and unity as well as high motivation and achievement.
  11. Represent Cityteam Ministries at community Homeless Coalition meetings and in other collaborative partnership efforts.

 

Budget

 

  1. Monitor expenses relative to budget and revenue.

 

Personnel

 

  1. Participate in staff performance evaluations in a timely manner as requested by the Human Resources Department.
  2. Recruit approved interns and volunteers necessary for proper functioning of these departments.

 

Personal Donor Cultivation

 

  1. Develop, implement, and maintain a personal donor cultivation and missionary support program in accordance with a plan established annually in cooperation with your supervisor.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

 

  1. Must have a personal and consistent relationship with Jesus Christ and active in a local Christian body of believers.
  2. Must be committed to serving God and the Body of Christ.
  3. Must have compatible theology on major issues of Cityteam's Statement of Faith.
  4. Must have a teachable spirit and be committed to team participation.
  5. Must have demonstrated administrative ability.
  6. Prefer both administrative and mentoring or counseling experience in the field of homeless ministry. 
  7. Knowledge of chemical addiction and recovery issues preferred.
  8. Must be able to intelligently delegate.
  9. Should be results oriented; but sensitive and aware of the value of building and sustaining personal and professional relationships.
  10. Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  11. Must have college degree or equivalent experience.
  12. Must be physically and emotionally capable of, and comfortable with, working around physically (and verbally) aggressive clients.
