If you have a heart to serve God and a willingness to travel and equip indigenous missionaries among unreached peoples in the oral world, we would like for you to consider becoming a
Bridges to Oral Cultures Trainer. This position also requires a willingness to raise your own ministry support. This includes your personal salary, housing allowance and other ministry expenses. Scriptures In Use will assist with travel expenses to
and from the field.
As a SIU Bridges to Oral Cultures Trainer, you will work with international partner ministries and national leaders to train the “Bridges” oral training strategy and equip oral culture indigenous church planters to establish disciple-making
movements. “ As Christ entrusted his disciples, we must also entrust and train others so that they will also be qualified to teach others.”(2 Timothy 2:2, NIV)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The SIU Bridges Training missionary connects with our overseas partners via international trainings, face- to- face meetings, email, telephone, and Skype technologies. SIU missionaries reside in the greater Tucson, Arizona area. They make an average
of 4 to 5 international trips each year, with each trip averaging 2-3 weeks duration. Consistent follow up and coaching of SIU partners is required to insure the successful implementation of the
Bridges Training strategies. This involves training, mentoring, evaluating, and engaging prospective emerging national leaders.
The first step to becoming a Bridges Training missionary is to complete the
Bridges Online Training Program (www.siutraining.org). Scriptures In Use believes that learning the
Bridges Training strategy is imperative to moving forward in the application process. Once you have completed the training and feel called of God to learn more about our organization and your prospective “fit” with SIU, please complete our “Getting
to Know You” form (found at http://www.scripturesinuse.org/serve/getting-acquainted-with-you/). If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at 520.648.6400
