AM870 Outside Sales/Multi-platform Sales Representative


SALEM LA is comprised of four radio stations – KKLA-FM (Inspirational Talk), KFSH-FM, (Contemporary Christian Music) KRLA-AM, (Conservative Talk) KTIE-AM (Conservative Talk).  SALEM LA is a member of Salem Media Group, the nation’s largest operator of Conservative Talk, Christian and Inspirational radio stations, radio networks, Christian media and entertainment, Internet aggregators, e-commerce, new media and streaming.


An exciting and rewarding career as a multi-platform media account executive; the AE will be selling radio on-air campaign, digital streaming online and mobile campaigns, as well as station event marketing opportunities.  AE will develop new business typically at the C-Level through prospecting qualified businesses in person and by phone.  This involves both hunting for quick business transactions and farming to develop long-term business relationships.  A typical day involves researching businesses, cold calling, making in store/office visits to prospects, booking appointments with decision makers (usually the business owners), performing needs analysis, creating solution based proposals, generating contracts and closing business, as well as servicing accounts.


You’ll need a deep understating of the entire sales process start to finish, have a good understanding of radio, digital, and other integrated multi-platform media.  Be able to quickly identify who the right target prospect is. Be able to book appointments with the prospects for clients’ needs analysis. Follow up with AM870 solutions based proposal and close the business. Provide excellent service to current clients and up sell. Make effective use of your time to hunt and farm new business while maintaining excellent relationships with current clients. Must have previous sales experience to apply.
