Job Description:

Group is in search of a Payroll/401(k) Administrator.  The position is responsible for collecting, entering and reviewing pay data, processing and distributing biweekly payroll for up to 500 employees using Ceridian HR/Payroll Web.  This primary responsibility of this role is processing payroll which includes hourly and salary pay types, direct deposits, commissions, bonuses, 401k, benefit and other deductions, PTO accruals, out of sequence payroll requests and coordinating the annual W-2 preparation and distribution process.  You will also be responsible for making changes to the setup of the Ceridian payroll module when needed, preparing payroll reports and preparing general Ledger payroll posting files. In addition, this position coordinates our 401(k) program which includes administering and auditing our plan, working with our consultant, plan provider and Benefits Representative, and leading the investment committee.  As part of the Human Resources team, this role will administer Group’s workers’ compensation and safety program and assist with other Human Resource programs as needed.  
The successful candidate will have a firm understanding and knowledge of legal payroll requirements and a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in payroll administration to include maintaining payroll records, filing tax reports, processing voluntary and involuntary deductions and documenting/updating procedures.  Also, the candidate must have a working knowledge of employment law, proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word and an Associates’ degree in Business or equivalent experience. American Payroll Certification, experience managing a 401(k) program and Human Resources experience is a plus. The candidate must be a self-starter, detail-oriented, flexible, able to handle multiple deadline driven projects, be customer oriented and have excellent communication skills.
