Project manager needed for Low Voltage Communication installation and service company. Systems Electronics Inc.is a family owned business established in 1970. The territory for this positon is North Eastern NC and South Eastern Virginia.Candidate could live
in Central or Eastern North Carolina or Southeastern Virginia.This is a position that requires travel to various job sites throughout Eastern North Carolina and Southeastern Virginia.
Essential Duties and Responsibilites are:
Inspects completed work to ensure it meets Company standards and specific requirements of the job.
Participates in approved job-related training and development programs. Participates in equipment training and receives certification, and operates equipment as needed.
Provides leadership and direction to all assigned personnel. Provides consistent supervision and monitoring of all work performed by Technicians.
Follows and makes periodic checks to ensure work is being done correctly and in the sequential order instructed.
Assists in reviewing and defining work assignments.
Resolves onsite disputes between personnel and/or subcontractors.
Meets with Inspectors, Engineers, Architects, General Contractors, and Electrical Contractors and implements modifications, recommendations, and changes according to their expertise and/or mandates if within the original specifications of the project. If
the changes and/or mandates are outside of the original specificantions for the Project.
Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
Ensures that safety procedures are practiced at all times.
Assists in first aid and/or other injury situations. Notifies the Vice President of Operations of any such incidents or injuries.
Takes necessary action and follows up to ensure that tools and equipment are being maintained properly, each person is accountable for assigned tools and equipment, and that the assigned tools and equipment are securely stored at the end of each workday.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Vice President of Operations.
Directly supervises one or more employees in the Installation Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Company policies and applicable laws. These responsibilities include training direct reports; planning, assigning, and
directing work; and evaluating performance. The Project Manager directs his/her direct reports in a way that ensures that all scheduled work is completed efficiently, correctly, and in a timely manner.
Travel as required
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two years related experience or training on manufacturer systems installations; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of three years experience within the industry.
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and/or technical procedures. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information
and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and general public.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Ability to read blueprints.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
An unrestricted, current driver’s license is a requirement for this job.
This position requires factory certifications in all applicable products currently in use by Systems Electronics, Inc.
Business Management experience and technical training courses are recommended as well.
