Our 5 station radio cluster is currently searching for a Programming Assistant who exemplifies leadership, achievement and team spirit.
Position Type: Part-Time
Performs activities in the radio studio and control room to ensure technical quality of sound for programs originating in the studio from syndications or from remote pickup points. Assist the Production Director with recording, producing and dubbing commercials
and station promos.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); six months experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Job Requirements:
Responsible for the successful execution of all programming elements. Knowledge of NexGen Audio Control System, phone screener software, audio boards, audio recording equipment, ISDN, and TELCO systems and remote transmitter monitoring equipment is a plus.
Candidate must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays.
Candidates should have experience with operating broadcast and production equipment, familiarity with computers and digital editing software, good reading, writing and announcing skills and the ability to understand and follow instructions. This position
also requires running the broadcast board and call-screening for various live talk shows. Demonstrating the ability to take direction and work with show hosts, and handling multiple tasks quickly and efficiently is a must. Candidate must possess strong communication
skills, must be organized, able to work on a deadline, work well with others and handle high pressure situations with ease.
