Develops and maintains ongoing customer relationships in order to understand and meet requirements. Participates in requirement sessions to define functional, technical, and security requirements, evaluate information technology systems and make recommendations for developing and/or upgrading enterprise information technology solutions. Works on integrated project teams to deliver new and innovative solutions. Provides application development expertise for mission critical, enterprise-wide projects. Participates in all technical aspects of solution design, development, testing, and implementation including integration of applications into enterprise architecture. Creates or follows specifications and designs and codes application programs for custom developed applications including the user interface, business logic, data access, system integration, and reports according to established standards. Develops or configures Commercial Off The Shelf software package customizations, integrations, upgrades and conversions. Serves as a backup administrator for security and application administration. Develops documentation for custom applications including business processes, test plans, installation and configuration, support procedures, and end user training. Follows change control and release management processes for applications. Analyzes Request for Change, works with business users to schedule change, performs programming and testing to implement change, assists with change management functions to mitigate risk, and assists with communicating change to organizational users. Understands and uses agile and traditional systems development, project management, IT Infrastructure Library, and change management methodologies, standard operating procedures, and current software applications. Provides 24x7 2nd level support for mission critical, enterprise-wide software packages. Troubleshoots incidents and restores services in compliance with service level agreements. Performs root cause analysis and escalates issues internally or through vendor technical support channels as needed to resolve problems. Assists with development, maintenance, and testing of disaster recovery plans and procedures. Assists with system recovery resulting from disaster or business continuity events. Serves as backup point of contact in event of disaster and/or business continuity plan activation.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems or significant commensurate experience is required. Minimum of 4 years experience in the field of computer information systems development is required. Web-based application development is preferred. Current Microsoft Certified Professional preferred. Commercial-Off-The-Shelf Software Package training preferred for software applications supported. Intermediate knowledge of the following: C#, SQL Server, SQL/T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Visual Studio, Silverlight, Team Foundation System, SourceSafe, ASP.NET, VB.NET, HTML, DHTML, and XML
