Medical Professionals


Ministry Description

Southside Pregnancy Center (SPC) is a 501c(3) not-for-profit, Christian, Pro-Life ministry offering life-affirming alternatives to abortion by addressing the emotional, physical, educational, spiritual and material needs of those experiencing an unplanned or crisis pregnancy situation. 


At SPC, medical professionals can combine their medical training and their Christian Calling to preserve the sanctity of human life and advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ.



  • Clinic Manager (LPN, RN, NP or PA) to work 3-4 days (22-30 hrs.) a week
  • Sonographer (RDMS) to work 1-4 days (7.5-30 hrs.) a week


Overall Qualifications

  • Must have a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
  • Possess a compassionate, loving, non-judgmental spirit toward others, especially toward young women and men experiencing unintended pregnancy
  • A passion to protect unborn children from the devastating harm of abortion (Be      Pro-Life)
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Work well in a team environment


Clinic Manager:  Additional Qualifications and Responsibilities

  • Possess leadership and supervisory ability and/or experience
  • Possess administrative, organizational and computer skills
  • Must be medically licensed in the state of Illinois (and in good standing)
  • Desired: Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
  • Desired: OB/GYN experience a plus
  • Audit medical charts
  • Periodically attend educational trainings/conferences     
  • Lead, supervise and review a medical team of 3 -5 (paid and/or volunteer staff)
  • Participate in the development and implementation of a medical advisory panel
  • Develop new P&P (as recommended or needed)


Sonographer (RDMS):  Additional Qualifications and Responsibilities

  • Must have ARDMS certification (and be in good medical standing)
  • Perform limited obstetrical ultrasound
  • OB/GYN/ABD training or experience a plus
  • Familiar with GE LogiQ P3 a plus
  • Familiar with Study Cast electronic scan filing a plus


Overall Duties and Responsibilities of the Medical Team

  • Perform urine-based testing for pregnancy, gonorrhea & chlamydia
  • Provide accurate patient education, i.e. medical pregnancy options, STDs, reproductive health, basic prenatal care, etc.
  • Take patient medical history
  • Provide accurate charting/notes
  • Occasionally communicate with physicians as needed (Medical Director/Radiologist/Medical      Advisors)
  • Train/assist new paid or volunteer medical staff
