Agros International restores hope and opportunity to the world's poor.
Agros is a non-profit organization helping rural poor families in Central America and Mexico escape the cycle of poverty by purchasing their own land. Agros extends land loans to purchase farmland and partners with families in applying sustainable agricultural practices.
Taking a holistic and sustainable approach to development, Agros works to restore the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual brokenness of the people we serve. Agros is an organization that desires to follow the teachings of Jesus by serving the rural poor regardless of their faith.
Our vision is to see rural poor families own agricultural land, attain economic self-sufficiency, realize their God-given potential and pass on to future generations the values and resources that enable them to flourish.
Agros is looking for a full-time Development Associate to join our Seattle team and to grow with our organization. This person will be primarily responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding relationships with individual donors, churches and businesses.
This dynamic position requires a skilled professional with at least three years of successful fundraising experience or sales experience and the entrepreneurial ability to develop and implement diversified fundraising strategies. Strong verbal/written communication skills are essential. This person should have an outgoing personality and demonstrated effectiveness in relationship building and fundraising (in particular, with major donors). Candidate should be a strong self-starter, flexible, well organized person comfortable with multi-tasking. Computer proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office Suite is required. Because of Agros international focus, familiarity and interest in cultural diversity is essential. Other requirements are that the applicant is passionate about our ministry, trustworthy, innovative, a team-player and has the heart of a servant.
