Job Description:
Sylvan Way Christian School (SWCS) is accepting applications for the part-time position of School Administrator. The programs at SWCS span infants through eighth grade. The administrator is charged with the responsibility for educational and spiritual oversight of the school, a non-denominational ministry of Sylvan Way Baptist Church. This person will provide leadership and direction for the ministry in line with the purpose, mission, and goals of the Sylvan Way Baptist Church.

Qualifications: Be one who has received Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, and a member in good standing of an evangelical church, preferably a member of SWBC. The school administrator should hold a Masters Degree in education or a related field, have 5 years teaching experience and hold the necessary educational certificates from the State of Washington or ACSI.

Daily responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Managing personnel; monitoring the preparation and execution of annual budgets; developing school policies; overseeing special projects; meeting regularly with Administrative Team, School & Church Committees; providing long range planning; developing yearly calendars and maintaining schedule of all school events; providing leadership in obtaining and maintaining accreditation; assisting; consulting with parents as requested for problem resolution; implementing the procedures for dealing with emergencies; promoting the school in a favorable and professional manner to the constituency and general public.

Salary ranges from $18,450 to $21,450 depending upon education and experience. A more complete job description is available upon request.
