SHABACH! Ministries, Inc.
SHABACH! Ministries, Inc. (SMI) was established in 1996 by the First Baptist Church of Glenarden in Landover, Maryland. It is a religious non-profit tax-exempt organization comprised of five primary divisions: SHABACH! Cares Child Care Center, SHABACH! Adult Day Care Center, SHABACH! Christian Academy, SHABACH! Community Services, and SHABACH! Homeschool.
The President will provide leadership to the organization and manage its day-to-day affairs including programs, finances, community relations and staff supervision. Additionally, the President will work closely with the Board of Directors to maximize the organizations effectiveness to ensure that it accomplishes its vision and mission.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Direct the implementation of programs, policies and procedures for the growth and administration of the organization.
Provide direct supervision and evaluation of program managers for all divisions of SMI.
Develop and administer a program development plan to produce relevant grants and proposals that will expand and enhance existing programs, as agreed upon by the Board.
Develop and implement a division-wide quality assurance program to ensure that all programs are in full compliance with applicable contractual and licensing mandates.
Serve as spokesperson for SMI in the community, to local and State officials and to other key organizations, when needed/requested.
Make periodic presentations to the Board of Directors regarding the status of SMI program operations.
Oversee development and management of a multi-million dollar budget.
Develop a division -wide management training program.
Be a born again believer
Have a Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university, with at least 7 years of progressive management experience
Have excellent oral and written communication skills
Be able to think analytically and plan strategically
Have strong leadership and people skills to be able to interface well with diverse populations
Be comfortable working in a church affiliated environment
Be literate in Microsoft Office and the Internet
A Masters Degree in a human service, business or related field or equivalent leadership experience
Management experience in a nonprofit organization
