MONTE VISTA CHRISTIAN SCHOOL (GR 6-12)
RESIDENT ADMISSIONS DIRECTOR
Position is open until filled

POSITION TITLE: Resident Admissions Director, FT (12 months)
SALARY: Competitive market rates, DOE

Interface as an educator with prospective parents by phone and email contacts. Evaluate transcripts for applicant eligibility. Responsible for coordinating, creation and updating of all advertising materials used in admissions packets. Coordinate and administers any testing of new residents with Math and English department heads. Coordinate the planning for ESL, ESL Summer Program and Resident Summer mainstream program. Represent MVCS with international educational agencies with email, supplies and presentations when needed. Participate in the decision-making process in the acceptance of resident students working closely with the Resident Guidance Director, Head Deans, and Assistant Superintendent of Academic Affairs. Maintain and is responsible for the SEVIS INS student reporting system government site. Prepare new admissions files for all new resident applicants. Perform other administrative and clerical duties as required.

Qualifications:
 B.A. and secondary teaching credential.
 ESL Certification State of California.
 Understanding of the education process leading to HS graduation
and college admission for the international student.
 Understanding of second language acquisition process.
 Ability to evaluate English language levels from writing samples,
strength of the student transcript, teacher recommendations and/or
personal interview.
 Ability to communicate with parents, sponsors, agents, ESL
teachers, and guidance counselor to coordinate proper placement
and transition through ESL to mainstream coursework.
 Ability to maintain excellent public relations with all parties involved.
 Computer literacy and willingness to learn program in use. (i.e.
Access, Word, Excel, Sasi or other use by MV).
