The School of Theology is the heart of CCU and is known as a very good school. However, we desire to find the candidate that will take us from very good to great. The chosen candidate will find this position to be a “calling”. They will raise academic standards,
recruit outstanding students, inspire and guide students; along with theology faculty, to outstanding achievement.
The Dean of Theology will be a dynamic and passionate leader who has a strong balance of academic and administrative excellence. The Dean will be recognized as a theological leader within the CCU community and the surrounding area. They will lead the theological
faculty in improving the educational standards in scholarship, service programs, instructional design, and resource development.
The Dean will promote community engagement and will demonstrate the practice of faith integration in student advising, scholar pursuits, activities, and outreach to students. They will collaboratively participate in the Dean’s Council and be a key member
of this team. The Dean will be an individual who is known for their ability to work with other schools, deans, faculty, staff and senior management to accomplish objectives.
