The Worship Pastor is a key member of the senior staff of NCC. Although their primary responsibility is creating an atmosphere where the congregation can personally experience the presence of God, their responsibility as a team member is to ensure that the overall goals of NCC are achieved.
Maintain a vital and growing personal walk with the Lord through committed Bible study, worship, prayer and meditation.
Maintain proper priorities in your home and be the spiritual leader to your wife and children, if married.
Develop personal evangelism opportunities within and outside the church.
Financially support the works of ministries of New Covenant Church by faithfully giving at least 10% of your gross income. Maintain wise stewardship measures over the remaining 90%.
Serve as part of the regular rotation of the Pastor On Call.
Oversee your individual ministry budget within NCC guidelines. Handling church finances, including credit cards in a professional manner.
Actively engage in the community. Participate in events and organizations to represent NCC in a professional manner at all times.
Actively engage in teaching and equipping others from the gift that God has personally given you.
Provide Life Coaching with others concerning their salvation, daily walk with the Lord, spiritual gifts, abilities, and their unique ministry contributions to the Lord through His church.
Provide Life Coaching as needed with others concerning their encounters with Spiritual decisions, including vocational opportunities and readjustments, philosophy of life, educational opportunities, and relationships to others.
Be the primary worship leader for NCCs main services.
To create an expectation within the hearts of the people of New Covenant that they can experience God every single worship service.
Preach about worship, as opportunities are available.
Hold regular practices with the musicians, choir and techs to train them for excellence in our services.
Develop worship personnel that can provide quality worship for all of NCCs ministries and meetings.
Provide a "farm system" to equip other musicians or worship support personnel to provide NCC with long term depth.
Oversee all technical departments (Data projection, sound, lights, graphics etc.)
Provide relevant communication techniques for preaching and worship
Develop long-term technical plans
Train and develop technical personnel to facilitate the meetings and ministries of NCC
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE OVERSEEING THE ARTS DEPARTMENT OR OTHER MINISTRIES DEPENDING ON APPLICANTS QUALIFICATIONS.
Meet regularly with the Arts Department to share the vision of NCC and discuss the current vein of ministry.
Meet with the Arts Department regularly to coordinate how to tie in that ministry with the Worship and Prayer departments to help us create an atmosphere for the interactive presence of God.
Provide a monthly arts presentation to the congregation (dance, processional, mime, drama, etc.).
Provide training opportunities for the worship department to hone their skills and learn different types of arts presentations.
