Job Description:
Concord Liberty Presbyterian Church has thriving Jr. & Sr. High ministries with avg. weekly attendance exceeding 40 - 45 students. We have excellent facilities dedicated to our youth and our program has strong support from our Session and congregation. Our current Youth Director has been accepted into the Seminary summer session. We are looking for a committed individual to continue to strengthen and grow our youth ministries.

This is a full-time salaried position with compensation in the mid-$30's. We offer medical benefits and 10 days of paid vacation.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

POSITION: Youth Director
REPORTS TO: Head of Staff, Youth Committee

OVERVIEW
Located on a 20-acre campus setting, Concord Liberty Presbyterian Church is a growing, dynamic, disciple-making church that is committing substantial resources to evangelize, nurture, and equip youth for discipleship and service. We are strategically located in the middle of a rapidly growing school district with our campus surrounded by both the high school and middle school. We seek a highly motivated, musically capable, visionary person to lead a committed team of adults in providing youth from our congregation and community with a meaningful ministry of Christian worship, discipleship, fellowship, evangelism, and service.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Youth Director (YD) is a full-time position dedicated to middle school and high school youth. The YD will promote personal growth in Christ and group unity, as well as reaching out with the Gospel to the young people of our community. The YD carries out this purpose through personal contact and relationships:
To plan, implement, coordinate, and actively lead a varied student ministry program of Christian evangelism, worship, discipleship, and fellowship.
To encourage students toward a commitment to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and express this commitment in their faith community and in their daily lives.

The Youth Director reports directly to the Head of Staff and is also under the counsel and evaluation of the Youth Committee of Session.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Cares for and challenges the youth of CLPC and the broader community in the following ways:
Develops, implements, and oversees student ministry plan for the entire year ministries which will include opportunities for worship, Bible study, discipleship, fellowship, evangelism, service projects, mission trips, social activities, etc.
Creates, equips, coordinates, and supports a network of volunteer leaders for each age group


Participates in the development of an EPIC style worship service.

P. Participate - Facilitate an environment where people participate in the presence of God.

I. Image - Facilitate an environment where people interact through audio/visual based communication with the presence of God.

C. Community - Facilitate a community where people share the presence of God.

Establish positive relationships with parents, regularly seeking their input through written communications and parent meetings. Where possible, assisting them in their role as parents with appropriate resources.
Maintains regular contact with youth by phone, mail, e-mail, or in person (this may include attending sport events, musicals, school events, etc.)
Attends staff meetings (as directed by Head of Staff) and Youth Committee meetings
Develops a budget for youth ministry based on the ministry plan for the year

Other Responsibilities

Prepares own Goals and Objectives at the beginning of each year based on Youth Committee objectives as guided by CLPC Strategic Plan.

EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE

Associate or Bachelor degree from an accredited college or Bible school
2-4 years experience in a church or para-church youth ministry setting as a leader
Minimum age of 21 years old
