Job Description:
Timber-lee Christian Center is a Christian camp with a passion for evangelistic outreach. Timber-lee has an excellent reputation and is on the cutting edge of camping ministry. This is a wonderful place to work, nestled in one of the most beautiful areas of the country. It is located less than two hours from Chicago and Madison and less than one hour from Milwaukee. The Development Director is responsible for all aspects of Timber-lee's fund development program and cultivate and solicit Timber-lee annual fund, major gifts from individuals, churches and corporations.

The successful candidate will be a professing Christian committed to following, in both spirit and practice, the principles listed in the Statement of Faith. (a copy may be found at Experience with philanthropy and fundraising, or demonstrated knowledge of philanthropy and non-profit management is highly desirable. The Development Director must demonstrate the ability to represent the camp to the community in a positive manner, and must have excellent writing and speaking skills. Will have the overall responsibility of managing and implementing the total comprehensive fund raising efforts of Timber-lee. Competitive salary and benefits offered. Has a sincere love for the Lord and desires to see people come to know Him personally and grow in their faith.
Prior fundraising experience in a nonprofit setting preferred.
Familiarity with Timber-lee a plus
Must be able to work successfully in a fast paced environment with perpetual deadlines.
Must be a self-starter needing little supervision and have good problem solving skills.
Must be very teachable, interest and knowledge of business and/or marketing principles.
Must be comfortable with computers and have a good working knowledge of word processing software, ideally spreadsheet experience, and know how to utilize the Internet.
Must be able to manage details and enjoy the challenge of maintaining them.
Experience in coordinating special events or fund raising activities
Should be comfortable and competent performing public presentations.
Strong interpersonal skills that enables candidate to be able to relate to a large variety of personalities.
