REPORTS TO: Programming Services Manager

Office hours are primarily weekdays, but responsibilities require additional hours and flexibility that can include evenings and weekends.

The qualified candidate will be successful in an environment with a wide variety of technical demands and minimal supervision. Good communication and follow-up will be essential to success. The primary responsibilities will involve supporting the needs for the School of Graduate and Professional Studies administrative systems to manage the Online BBA and other online programs. This position will be responsible for custom programming to interface commercial systems to other systems that are commercially developed, community source developed or developed internally. Other responsibilities will be assigned as needed. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a history of quickly mastering new technologies.

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience in a similar position. Experience with Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE), Visual Basic, C, PHP, Perl, CGI, and HTML will be helpful. Experience required, including system administration, with UNIX (HP-UX or other similar mid-range computer system implementation of UNIX). Successful candidate will have a proven ability to manage many divergent and pressing tasks with a minimum of direct supervision.
