1. Senior Pastors Prerogatives and Responsibilities.
a. The Pastor is designated in the Scripture as undershepherd of the church under the sovereign leadership of the Lord Jesus, and is referred to by the title, "Pastor" (Eph. 4:11). Other Scriptural titles for him are "Overseer" (Acts 20:28; and "Shepherd" (I Peter 5:1-11). He shall be recognized by the church as particularly gifted and called to the full-time ministry of pastoring, leading, preaching, teaching, and counseling. He will be a team player. He shall be a licensed or ordained member in good standing with an accredited denomination or appropriate credentialing institution.
b. He shall be the general supervisor of all activities of the church, and shall be an official member of all boards and committees.
c. The Pastor shall represent the corporation in all of its legal matters. It shall be his responsibility to preside over the business meetings of the church. In his absence or incapacity (or according to another need determined by a consensus of all board members), the official board may appoint one of their members to preside over the business meetings.
d. He shall perform any other duties that properly belong to the ministry of a Pastor.
e. The board will evaluate him on an annual basis within 60 days before the Annual Meeting.
Salary range given, but final salary will depend upon experience.
Must be a licensed or ordained member in good standing with an accredited denomination or appropriate credentialing institution.
