The Program Administrator is a key participant of the program team with the primary role of providing office support and administrative coordination. The Program Administrator assists First Fruit's program officers in their granting work.
Provide structure and cohesion to the programming activities of the team. Organize agenda and direct staff meetings.
Administer existing filing system and databases as well as research and utilize new tools and resources to optimize the teams performance.
Be chiefly responsible for the final preparation and assembly of presentations and reports to the Board of Directors. Independently generate new reports as needed.
Oversee the execution of grants and formal correspondence with grantees.
Serve as the first line of contact and triage for potential grantees. Manage and update the First Fruit website as needed.
Assist in the research and analysis of missions trends and other research requests by the Board. At times, contribute to the synthesis and writing of the research.
As needed, assist in the planning of itineraries for international travel for Board members and programming staff.
Additionally, from time to time, lead or implement a variety of in-house projects.
Report to the Executive Director of First Fruit.
Spiritual foundations: This individual will be a born-again, evangelical Christian with a solid faith in Jesus Christ, who is an active member of a local church. As someone who will be called on to exercise discernment in the distribution of Gods resources, the individual should be a person "known to be full of the Spirit and wisdom" (Acts 6). Spiritual maturity, biblical knowledge and ministry experience would also be valued.
Character and Temperament: This individual will be an engaging Christian, personable, sensitive to peoples needs, gracious in manner and will have a humility and adaptability when working cross-culturally. This individual will maintain objectivity in evaluations and be self-disciplined and well-organized. This individual thrives in a team-based setting, but is also able to work effectively and independently. He/she approaches his/her responsibilities as a servant, committed to the mission and philosophy of First Fruit.
Background: This individual will have relevant experience in Christian ministry, volunteer, academic or professional settings. This individual will have an undergraduate college degree with postgraduate work seen as a plus.
Skills: This individual should display familiarity and competence in most, if not all, of the following areas: research methods; quantitative methods; information management. This individual will be proficient with MS Word, Powerpoint, Excel and database tools. Strong written communication would also be beneficial.
