Job Description:

Senior Stewardship Officer

Charlotte, NC

SIM USA is seeking a Senior Stewardship Officer who will develop and cultivate relationships with major donor partners and other identified stakeholders, current and potential, to support fund development growth, providing much needed sources of funding for the ministry. This is an exciting opportunity to join a globally recognized leader in “cultivating multicultural Christian mission movements”.

Transcending denominational identification, SIM has a rich history spanning over 120 years in developing and supporting work globally, categorized by three main foci: responding to need, proclaiming the gospel and equipping the Church.  In doing so, SIM’s vision and passion is to see “the body of Christ in all places, among all people, to the glory of God”.  Today, based in Charlotte, NC, SIM work continues to flourish through cooperation with more than 30 other worldwide offices and more than 4000 missionaries in over 65 countries on six continents.

The Senior Stewardship Officer will mobilize individuals to participate in the financial and prayer support of SIM ministries.  He/She will effectively plan, organize, and administer all activities and operations with their respective portfolio, and participate in collaborative efforts with the entire Stewardship Department.  In doing so, the Senior Stewardship Officer will provide strategic direction, coordination, and leadership while overseeing the management and resource development in their region. This individual will contribute to, execute and implement strategies as designed by his/her manager, the Vice President of Stewardship. The Senior Stewardship Officer will creatively explore possibilities for current and future partnerships while representing SIM as a whole both internally and to the public at large.

Successful candidates will possess a minimum of 5 years of successful fundraising experience with a philanthropic or non-profit organization preferred or equivalent experience in a related field such as consultative sales and territory management, and the ability and willingness to travel extensively including some global travel.
