Direct, line-level direction and management of the financial and accounting operations including internal controls of Church of God Ministries.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Accounting Team Leader and Manager
Investment and Cash Management
Financial Analysis and Budgeting
Accounting of Planned Gifts
Governmental Reporting and Tax Filings
Internal Auditing and Problem Solving
External Audit Coordination
External GAAP reporting
Delegate authority for receipt, disbursement, banking, protection and custody of funds, securities, and financial instruments.

CPA and/or MBA preferred
Computer Proficient - Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software (Blackbaud)

Ability to manage people and accounting processes to maximize productivity
Disciplined self starter
Proactive professional who stays in touch with professional literature and able to dialog with outside consultants and internal management related to industry accounting and auditing changes
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelors Degree in Accounting
5 to 10 years experience, non-profit accounting preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
