Job Description:
Narrow Gate Media seeks a versatile creative professional with great design instinct who loves working on computers and the Internet. Our web designer is responsible for the design and implementation of websites, shopping carts, email campaigns, banner ads, and offer-specific landing pages, all for various internal product lines and outside clients. In addition, this position designs multimedia graphics for our graphics resources for pastors and local churches. This position works with the marketing and/or product development managers to define project requirements and complete each project efficiently and creatively, within guidelines provided by the art director.

The ideal candidate will be a creative professional capable of working effectively in a deadline-oriented digital production environment. Candidate should have strong visual style and understanding of how typography, layout, color, images and interactivity impact web design. Requires 2+ years of Macintosh experience, an intimate knowledge of XHTML standards and CSS, a basic understanding of PHP, and expertise in both Adobe Photoshop and Macromedia Dreamweaver. Experience with osCommerce, JavaScript, and Macromedia Flash would be a plus, as would basic skills with the Microsoft PowerPoint, Apple Keynote, and Apple Final Cut Studio suite. Digital photography skills and a solid photography portfolio would be a strong plus.

Requires strong online portfolio showing interface usability, proven creativity in both graphic arts and solving problems, and a bachelors degree in graphic arts, digital media or equivalent experience. Also requires experience working with pastors and lay leaders of Christian churches. Must be a team player capable of adapting to shifting production needs, and be able to achieve high quality within tight deadlines.
