World Vision, an international Christian humanitarian organization, is expanding its editorial
team on the World Vision Report. We are looking for a seasoned journalist to produce a weekly radio program focusing on world poverty, disease and injustice to raise awareness and concern among Americans for the poorest of the poor. The goal is to be compelling, educational, probing and provocative in telling the stories of the poor.
The producer will work with host Peggy Wehmeyer, formerly of ABC News, and a team of experienced journalists. The producer will line up each weeks program, write show scripts, and coordinate the weekly production schedule. Other duties include editing stringer scripts, providing specific ideas for interviews and reports, and participating in editorial meetings.
Requirements include a minimum of six years in writing/producing programs for radio or television news; ability to work well in a self-directed team environment, and a passion for the mission and vision of the program.
