The Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago (LSTC) is a Seminary of the ELCA, training men and women for leadership roles in the church. We are seeking a highly organized, multi-tasking, and committed person with strong computer skills to serve as Book Center Assistant Manager. The Assistant Manager serves as the staff person in charge of all technology resources, on line sales, and e-commerce for our Book Center, that generates $400,000 in yearly sales. The Assistant Manager generates all publicity and marketing materials for the store. Together with our Book Center Team the Assistant Manager insures that the store continues to be the customer centered, hospitable place that it is.

The ideal candidate combines outstanding computer skills with customer focus, efficiency, and an understanding of theology. The Assistant Manager must have excellent communication and organizational skills; be able to multi-task, take direction, and pay attention to detail. Microsoft office, E-commerce, online sales, marketing, and retail sales experience is required. Experience with Booklog, and BookSense is very helpful. Occasional evening and weekend hours are required.
