Job Description:
Manage daily operations of Vista Hermosa Elementary, a K-6 private, Christian school of approximately 50 students located near Prescott, Washington. For many of the students, English is a second language, though it is the language of instruction for all. Most students are Hispanic children of families employed by Broetje Orchards. These families place a high value on the Christian-based education that their children receive.
Assume oversight of the 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant and all future grant management responsibilities. Currently, the 21st Century grant funds a daily after-school program and family outreach activities in the Vista Hermosa community.
Be fully responsible for the planning and function of Camp Vista. This licensed daycare program serves over 100 elementary age students during its eight week summer session, and employs approximately 15 staff. Camp Vista offers academic, spiritual, and recreational activities, with mornings devoted to academics and character development, and afternoons to various electives and field trips.
Partner with affiliate Broetje Orchards organizations and engage in a team-based, Servant Leadership model to guide interactions with staff, students, families, and community leaders.

Believe that Christian-based education can produce students of the highest quality.
Be a powerful instructional leader and spiritual mentor.
Have at lease three years teaching experience in public or private schools.
Possess or be working toward a Washington State Principals Certificate.
Have exceptional human relations skills and demonstrated success in managing staff and partnerships.
Be spiritually mature and able to guide discussion on faith, spirituality, and the call to serve.
Believe that all children can learn well when taught well, even though their learning may be at different rates and in different ways.
Believe that outreach to families is a critical component of successful school leadership.
Be eager to coordinate efforts with the public schools for the enhancement of all students holistic educational experience.
Demonstrate ability to speak, read, and write in both English and Spanish.
Possess a positive attitude about life. Focus on what can be done rather than on what might not be able to be done.
