Church on The Rock is considered the biggest little church in the St. Louis Region with weekly attendance exceeding over 5,000 people from every age group, race, and all walks of life. The congregation has a vision to provide an environment where individuals can experience the love and acceptance of God and be encouraged and instructed on how to find their special purpose within the body of Christ. Through biblical truth and relevant practical biblical teaching of Pastor David M. The Childrens Pastor is responsible for the oversight and overall direction of the childrens ministry from ages of 5 to 12 years of age. They will be responsible for carrying out the vision of church leadership through the designated ages of the Childrens Ministry. This includes the management of over 140 current childrens volunteers and the duties of recruiting additional childrens workers, managing and maintaining tens of thousands square feet of possible childrens ministry area, and recruiting additional children to participate in weekly age appropriate worship experiences. It is the Childrens Pastors responsibility to maintain a sense of freshness in material and ministry approach and creating an environment of creativity within the Childrens Ministry. Currently, the program has over 400 children participants from the ages of 5 to 12. The Childrens Pastor will be charged not only to continue to develop these children spiritually, emotionally, and naturally but also will find new ways to continue to grow the ministry to the highest possible level. The Childrens Pastor will also be expected to communicate with parents and address any of their concerns and be a team player while working with the Senior Pastor and leadership in growing the over all church body.
Church on the Rock offers a generous compensation/benefits package. This position is eligible to receive a health insurance package through the premier health insurance company in the nation. All premiums for the employee and their family are provided by the church at no cost to the employee. The church also provides short-term and long term disability, dental insurance, vacation time, and other benefits designed for the employee and their family. The compensation will be based upon a candidates experience, education, and ability. Church on the Rock believes in compensating an employee at an appropriate level in which they can maintain an adequate standard of living.

A successful candidate will have a close and personal relationship with Jesus Christ in addition to being a "spirit-filled" born again believer who lives a Christian life above reproach and meet the living standards that are set forth in I Timothy 3:2-7 with a demonstration of consistent personal character; particularly one of integrity, teachable spirit, humility, and the ability to work with others of differing gifs and convictions. They must have a demonstrated track record of stability in a strong local church and a minimum of three years of experience directing a childrens ministry in a large church setting. The candidate must have a creative talent and gift while possessing the ability to think "outside the box". A demonstrated ability to organize direct multiple staff and numerous volunteers is a must. Preferably, a candidate will also have formal training at a Bible College or Seminary or have equivalent relative experience. Above all, a successful candidate must have a clear call to perform the role of Childrens Pastor.
