Job Description:
Casas por Cristo is a non-denominational parachurch ministry serving the needy families of Juarez, Mexico through house building projects. Based in El Paso, CpC is comprised of 15 full time staff missionaries and is a growing ministry that works with hundreds of volunteer teams to build over 300 houses per year for families that often live in poverty with no insulation, running water, plumbing, or electricity.

This position is responsible for network administration, server and desktop support, install hardware and software. The ideal candidate will also be able to manage backup systems, administer active directory, exchange 2003, DHCP, proxy server, ghosting, and work on special assignments and problems as they arise for the whole ministry.

Additionally, staff members are responsible for leading teams to build houses. Building is another function in addition to the office position. Staff can expect to be out in the field approximately 10 weeks per year and leadership and ability to lead a build and work with a wide variety of people is crucial for the ideal candidate. Building training is provided. Finally, recruiting is part of all staffs responsibility as the ministry continues to grow.

University degree (Equivalent to U.S. Bachelors Degree) in Applied Science or related field plus generally 2 years directly related experience in Information Technology and generally 2 years in managing regional IT infrastructure, preferably in data center environment.

Ability to oversee, maintain and recommend new equipment for general needs and special projects according ministry needs. Responsible for local testing, roll-out and support of all ministry tech needs.

Working knowledge of Windows Server 2003, Active Directory, MS Office, PC based applications, network connections, and data communications

Working knowledge in troubleshooting, repair, upgrades and new installations for a vast array of desktop software and peripheral related products

Working knowledge of Windows OS environments, WAN/LAN, TCP/IP, Exchange, MS Office, and network administration (setup new accounts, password resets, change properties etc.)

Demonstrated ability to organized the work of a diverse group of staff members with competing priorities and deadlines

Demonstrated ability to coordinate work with staff in various properties and continually changing schedules

Demonstrated ability to plan and follow through with long-term projects, to resolve complicated, emergency infrastructure issues effectively and to maintain ministry-wide technology
