On June 21, 2005, the first 16 members of Victory Cathedral Worship Center (VCWC) officially joined - a very moving and powerful beginning to the life of this church. To allow the early members an opportunity to take part in the development of the church,
Pastor Smokie Norful outlined the importance of a name, according to the Bible, and asked the members to partake in the naming of the ministry. Victory Cathedral Worship Center became the name of the church. God has given Pastor Smokie the vision to edify,
equip, and empower people everywhere through the inspired Word of God. In September 2008, the vision and mission of VCWC expanded to its second location, the south side of Chicago. God has used VCWC to find thousands who were lost, and VCWC's membership has
grown to more than 5,000 members, becoming one of the fastest growing churches in the Chicago area.
