Job Description:

POSITION DESCRIPTION:                 Are you a leader looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a long term, experienced elementary and/or secondary administrator. This person will assist in overseeing the day-to-day administration of an existing primary bilingual school, as well as provide leadership and direction in a pre-school/kindergarten start-up project.


POSITION TITLE:                              School Administrative Director


EFFECTIVE DATE:                            July 2015


MONTHLY STIPEND:                        $750 USD/month (stipend can be supplemented via funds raised through TeachBeyond) 



Reports to:                             School Board & National Director


Supervision given:                Teaching staff & administrative personnel



  • Administrator Certification & evidence of leadership competence
  • Bachelor of Education (Master’s Preferred)
  • Experience in Early Childhood / Elementary teaching and/or Secondary teaching
  • Proven experience in mentoring and staff training
  • Proven experience leading individuals and teams


  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to implement healthy team dynamics
  • Ability to operate in a multicultural setting
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to analyze a problem, strategize for change and execute an effective plan
  • Posses strong and growing knowledge of Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint)

  • Hire, train and mentor qualified teachers (both national and expatriate staff)
  • Collaborate to identify and achieve short/long term objectives
  • Prepare comprehensive reports for the School Board
  • Mange class scheduling and teacher availability
  • Supervise administrative and teaching staff, and provide feedback (staff evaluation)
  • Lead effective weekly staff meetings
  • Develop a positive working and learning environment that meets international standards
  • Develop curriculum that meets international standards & National Ministry of Education requirements (Program development)
  • Continue with policy development and operating procedures (expand to pre-school)
  • Provide regular review for continuous growth and improvement
  • Develop an effective structure for student discipline (pre-school level) that meets international standards
  • Meet prospective and current parents in the context of recruitment / information sharing /input for planning / problem solving
  • Develop a framework for extra-curricular activities
