Job Description:
Development Director Responsibilities

1. Establish donor relations program - cultivate and solicit individuals
Oversee and implement the strategy for prospect acquisitions
Oversee and implement the strategy for new donor acquisitions - non-donors to donors
Oversee and implement the development strategy to "lift" current donors
Develop and implement a key donor management program
Maintain follow-up file for Key Donor Management program and contact file for smaller donors
Develop and implement a gift club program

2. Establish church relations program - cultivate and solicit church committees and/or elders

3. Establish community relations program - cultivate and solicit businesses

4. Plan and organize special events aimed at specific fund-raising goals,
Provide leadership and/or assistance with capital campaigns
Plan and oversee dinners, auctions, phoneathons, etc.

5. Oversee Communications and Public Relations
Write receipt letters and other appropriate donor communications
Oversee the production and mailing of fund-raising letters
Assist in the coordination and production of the newsletter
Oversee website creation and updating
Be a "public face" for the organization in regard to community club memberships, etc.

6. Research and apply for foundation funding

7. Establish and oversee an estate planning program

8. Administrative Responsibilities
Provide assistance with athletic department and parent sponsored fund raisers
Coordinate volunteer programs pertaining to the development department
Oversee other staff assigned to the development department
Write an development plan that incorporates all the above including the details for each item and
a calendar that coordinates all the items
Develop statistical information of overall development program for evaluation

Business Manager Responsibilities

1. Supervise all business office operations, including:
billing of tuition and fees, receipting of all payments and contributions, collecting past due accounts, making bank deposits
making all payments and disbursements, maintaining general ledger and all payroll records including state and federal reporting

2. Serve as purchasing agent, including
ordering materials and supplies,
negotiating loans and contracts with vendors and insurance companies, etc.

3. Financial administration, including:
helping develop annual budget with administration and Board, including salary schedules and tuition rates
overseeing expenditures and investments
